Spain
coach,
Luis
de
la
Fuente,
has
described
the
upcoming
clash
against
Germany
as
worthy
of
a
European
Championship
final.

The
highly
anticipated
match
will
take
place
at
Stuttgart
Arena
on
Saturday,
bringing
together
two
of
the
continent’s
footballing
powerhouses.

Spain,
who
emerged
at
the
top
of
Group
B
with
a
perfect
record,
is
the
only
team
to
have
won
all
four
of
their
matches
so
far.
Germany,
on
the
other
hand,
accumulated
seven
points
in
Group
A
before
defeating
Denmark
2-0
in
the
last
16.

There
is
more
on
the
line
than
just
a
place
in
the
next
round
as
both
nations
are
in
pursuit
of
a
historic
fourth
European
Championship
title.

De
la
Fuente
is
eagerly
anticipating
the
match,
which
echoes
the
2008
final
where
Spain
triumphed
1-0
thanks
to
Fernando
Torres’s
decisive
goal.

“This
could
easily
have
been
the
final
of
the
European
Championship,”
De
la
Fuente
remarked.

“It’ll
be
an
evenly
matched
game
at
a
high
footballing
level.”

He
acknowledged
Germany’s
strong
starts
and
emphasized
Spain’s
strategy
to
counteract
this
intensity.

“Germany
always
begin
games
with
great
power,
so
we’ll
try
to
counteract
that
and
take
the
initiative
right
from
the
start.”

De
la
Fuente
praised
both
teams
as
“giant
powers
of
European
football”
and
highlighted
Spain’s
unity
as
their
greatest
strength.

“We
perform
as
one
unified
block,
which
is
something
we
share
with
Germany,”
he
said.
“I
wouldn’t
trade
my
players
for
anyone
in
the
world.
They
are
the
best,
and
we’re
fully
prepared
to
go
out
there
and
win.
We
feel
a
great
sense
of
responsibility
and
are
extremely
focused.”

The
winner
will
advance
to
face
France
or
Portugal
in
the
semi-final
in
Munich
on
Tuesday.
