MODEC donates school furniture worth GHC520,000 to Anum Presby SHS

donated
furniture
to
the
Anum
Presby
Senior
High
School
in
Anum
Boso,
Eastern
Region.

The
school’s
headmaster,
Rev.
Richard
Adjei,
expressed
gratitude
for
MPSG’s
generous
contribution
and
provided
a
brief
history
of
the
school,
highlighting
its
growth
from
seven
boys
to
3,000
students
and
169
staff
members.

Mr
Adjei
emphasised
that
the
donated
furniture
will
significantly
improve
the
student’s
learning
experience
and
create
a
more
conducive
environment
for
education.
He
described
the
donation
as
potentially
transformative
for
the
students’
educational
experiences.

“On
behalf
of
management,
staff,
and
students,
I
would
like
to
express
our
heartfelt
appreciation
to
MODEC
for
their
generous
donations.
I
would
also
like
to
thank
Madam
Angela
Frimpomaa
Nkansah,
the
Acting
Director
of
Human
Resource
Management
at
the
GES
head
office,
for
her
invaluable
assistance
in
connecting
me
and
the
school
to
MODEC
during
several
visits
to
her
office
to
solve
staffing
and
furniture
issues,
among
other
school
challenges.”

The
headmaster
also
mentioned
several
challenges
that
the
school
faces,
such
as
water
supply
issues,
the
need
for
boys’
dormitory
renovations,
and
leaks
in
staff
bungalows.

He
urged
the
government
and
other
stakeholders
to
lend
their
support.

Theophilus
Ahwireng,
MODEC’s
managing
director,
presented
the
donated
furniture
to
the
school,
demonstrating
MODEC’s
commitment
to
education
as
a
cornerstone
of
its
social
investment.

He
emphasised
that
their
commitment
stems
from
their
belief
in
education’s
transformative
power,
which
plays
an
important
role
in
uplifting
communities
and
shaping
a
better
future
for
all.

Mr
Ahwireng
stated
that
MODEC
recognises
the
importance
of
well-equipped
facilities
in
educational
institutions
to
promote
the
well-being
of
students
and
faculty,
thereby
supporting
a
comprehensive
and
conducive
learning
environment.

He
cited
the
school’s
continuous
improvement
in
WASSCE
results
as
the
motivator
for
their
support.

“In
responding
to
the
need
for
support,
MODEC
and
its
partners
are
happy
today
to
donate
various
school
furniture
500
bunk
beds,
300
mono
classroom
desks,
dining
hall
tables,
and
benches,
valued
at
over
GH¢520,000
to
the
school.”

“The
donation
is
intended
to
help
create
a
positive
learning
environment
for
students
and
support
their
success.
“We
hope
that
our
donation
will
improve
the
living
and
learning
experiences
of
the
students,
teachers,
and
staff,”
he
stated.


In
a
speech
delivered
on
behalf
of
Angela
Frimpomaa
Nkansah,
Acting
Director
of
the
Human
Resource
Management
Division
at
GES
in
Accra,
it
was
revealed
that
the
connection
between
the
headmaster
and
MODEC
was
made
during
a
visit
to
GES,
where
he
met
Madam
Angela
Nkansah.

She
thanked
MODEC
for
their
generous
donation
and
encouraged
students
to
take
proper
care
of
the
furniture.
