Nsoatreman FC to face Chadian side Elect Sport FC in CAF Confederation Cup

preliminary
round
of
the
CAF
Confederation
Cup.

This
marks
the
club’s
first
foray
into
continental
competition
following
their
historic
victory
over
Bofoakwa
Tano
FC
in
the
Ghana
FA
Cup
final.

The
draw
for
the
preliminary
round
took
place
at
the
CAF
headquarters
in
Cairo,
Egypt,
on
Thursday,
July
11,
2024.
Nsoatreman
FC
will
kick
off
their
campaign
at
home,
hosting
Elect
Sport
in
the
first
leg
before
traveling
for
the
return
leg.

For
their
home
fixtures,
Nsoatreman
FC
will
use
the
Baba
Yara
Stadium
in
Kumasi
and
the
Accra
Sports
Stadium,
providing
them
with
robust
venues
for
their
CAF
Confederation
Cup
journey.

The
preliminary
round
is
scheduled
for
August,
with
the
winner
of
the
tie
progressing
to
face
the
victor
between
Algerian
side
CS
Constantine
and
Police
FC
of
Rwanda
in
the
second
round
in
September.

Nsoatreman
FC
aim
to
replicate
the
remarkable
success
of
Dreams
FC,
who
reached
the
semi-finals
of
the
CAF
Confederation
Cup
last
season
in
their
debut
appearance.

on
their
MTN
FA
Cup
triumph,
the
Bono-based
club
is

a

Following
the
departure
of
coach
Maxwell
Konadu
after
their
cup
triumph,
Nsoatreman
FC
has
appointed
former
Ghana
international
Yaw
Preko
as
the
new
head
coach.

Preko,
who
previously
managed
Great
Olympics
in
the
Ghana
Premier
League,
has
been
tasked
with
guiding
the
team
to
at
least
the
group
stage
of
the
competition.
