Constituency
have
elected
Nana
Agyei
Baffuor
Awuah
as
their
parliamentary
candidate
for
the
December
7,
2024
election.

He
secured
376
votes.

Nana
Agyei
Baffuor
Awuah
will
thus
replace
Dr
Matthew
Opoku
Prempeh
as
the
NPP
parliamentary
candidate
for
Manhyia
South
going
into
the
December
7
election.

The
fiercely
contested
election
saw
the
legal
practitioner
winning
with
376
votes
and
his
closest
contender,
Nana
Owusu
Afriyie
Prempeh
securing
141
votes.

Akwasi
Coker
Gyambibi
had
2
votes
whilst
James
Owusu
Boakye
got
7
votes.

The
primary
poll
became
necessary
after
four-time
Member
of
Parliament
Dr
Matthew
Opoku
Prempeh
was
nominated
by
the
ruling
party’s
flagbearer,
Dr
Mahamudu
Bawumia
as
his
running
mate.
