Fire explosion in Obuasi: One feared dead, three injured & over 20 cars burnt to ashes

Ashanti
Region
has
left
one
person
feared
dead
and
three
others
injured.

The
incident
is
reportedly
caused
by
welding
activity
inside
a
garage,
according
to
the
Ghana
National
Fire
Service
(GNFS).

Firefighters
were
quickly
deployed
to
the
scene
to
contain
the
blaze
and
ensure
the
safety
of
nearby
residents.

The
situation
is
still
being
managed,
with
emergency
personnel
working
diligently
to
prevent
further
casualties
or
property
damage.

In
an
official
statement,
the
GNFS
advised
the
public
to
exercise
caution
and
avoid
the
affected
area.

“Residents
and
motorists
are
encouraged
to
use
alternative
routes
for
their
safety,”
the
statement
read.
