Davido wasn’t loyal when we were cool – Medikal

Beyond
Kontrol
CEO
Medikal
has
finally
opened
up
about
his
relationship
with
Nigerian
superstar
Davido
which
ended
some
months
ago.

Speaking
during
an
interview,
Medikal
disclosed
that
he
was
very
loyal
to
Davido,
but
when
he
wanted
his
colleague
to
reciprocate
the
same
loyalty,
he
gave
an
excuse,
which
forced
him
to
cut
ties
with
him.

Explaining
what
exactly
happened
to
Abeiku
Santana
during
the
interview,
Medikal
disclosed
that
Davido
reached
out
to
him
asking
him
to
disassociate
himself
from
Dammy
Krane
because
the
two
of
them
were
having
issues.

He
continued
that
he(Medikal)
had
recorded
a
song
with
Dammy
Krane
at
that
time,
but
because
of
what
Davido
told
him,
he
had
to
distance
himself
from
the
musician.

Medikal
added
that
a
member
of
Davido’s
camp
disrespected
him,
and
since
he
was
cool
with
Davido,
he
reached
out
to
him
about
the
disrespect
from
an
artiste
from
his
camp,
but
the
response
from
him
got
him
sad.

He
said:

“I
didn’t
want
to
talk
about
Davido’s
issue,
but
the
reason
we
fell
out
was
because
of
loyalty.
I
had
a
song
with
Dammy
Krane,
and
during
that
time,
he
was
beefing
with
Davido.
Dammy
Krane
went
on
social
media
to
announce
our
collaboration,
and
Davido
hit
me
up,
telling
me
not
to
associate
with
him.
Because
we
were
cool,
and
he
often
visited
me
when
he
came
to
Ghana,
I
cut
ties
with
Dammy
Krane.”

He
continued,

“But
when
one
of
Davido’s
boys
disrespected
me
in
a
song,
I
reached
out
to
Davido
to
let
him
know,
and
his
response
was,
‘the
game
is
the
game.’
That’s
when
I
realised
he
wasn’t
loyal
to
me.
Loyalty
means
a
lot
to
me,
and
I
grew
up
valuing
it.
So,
when
I
saw
he
wasn’t
reciprocating
that
loyalty,
I
felt
some
type
of
way.”
