recognized.

Ghanaians

and
tried
to
smash

world
records,

managed
to
emerged
winners
and
GWR
certificate
holders.

23-year-old
journalist
from
Kumasi,

the

record
for
the
longest
time
to
hug
a
tree,
says
he
spent
6
months
practicing
to
achieve
the
feat.
Abdul
Hakim
Awal’s
“tree-hug-a-thon,”
which
took
place
outside
Kumasi
Cultural
Centre,
lasted
24
hours,
21
minutes.

hour.

record-breaking
attempt
occurred
on
March
25,

in
Auburn,
Alabama,
USA
at
the
Tuskegee
National
Forest’s
Pleasant
Hills.

Roselyn

Akosua
made
history
by
breaking
the
Guinness
World
Record
for
the
longest
marathon
makeup
application
attempt,
completing
five
days
of
continuous
makeup
application.
This
achievement
was
a
testament
to
her
dedication
and
love
for
the
beauty
industry.

years
of

has
consistently
pushed
boundaries
and
strived
for
excellence
in
her
craft.

Jephthah

who
is
a
filmmaker
took
on
a
challenge
to
play
video
games
for
over
100
hours
in
Victoria
Island,
Lagos,
Nigeria,
from
1
to
6
May
2024.

According
to
him,
he
took
on
this
challenge
to
bring
gaming
the
community
to
the
African
youth
and
also
to
urge
the
youth
to
believe
in
themselves.

broke
the
record
for
the
fastest
400
kg
incline
frame
carry
over
ten
meters.
On
January
26,
2024,
in
Milan,
Italy,
with
a
record
set
under
8.07
seconds.
