elected
the
8th
Speaker
of
Parliament,
Alban
Bagbin
as
the
9th
Speaker
of
Parliament.
The
intentions
of
the
president-elect
were
made
known
in
a
communique
he
released
dated
January
5.
In
the
communique
signed
by
his
special
aide,
Felix
Kwakye
Ofosu,
the
president-elect
disclosed
that
he
has
had
an
official
meeting
with
the
leadership
of
the
NDC.
According
to
him,
during
the
meeting,
the
leadership
of
the
NDC
came
to
a
consensus
that
Alban
Bagbin
be
nominated
the
9th
Speaker
of
Parliament.
