FIPAG Members Accuse Executives of Money Embezzlement

Members
of
the
Film
Producers
Association
of
Ghana
(FIPAG)
have
accused
their
leaders
of
misusing
company
funds,
which
has
resulted
in
the
inability
to
organize
elections
to
choose
new
leaders.

Dzifa
Agbetepey,
a
member
of
the
association,
recently
expressed
her
frustration
on
Nhyira
FM’s
Entertainment
Power
show,
hosted
by
Ogidi
Brown,
monitored
by
Gh
Page,
accusing
James
Aboagye-led
FIPAG
executives
of
embezzling
company
funds.
This
alleged
mismanagement
has
led
to
the
association’s
inability
to
organize
elections,
causing
concern
among
many
of
its
members.

In
response
to
these
allegations,
Mr.
Mawuli
Ekpe
Peter,
FIPAG’s
National
Communications
Officer
and
Welfare
Officer,
confirmed
that
the
association
is
indeed
facing
financial
difficulties,
making
it
challenging
to
organize
elections.
However,
he
denied
the
accusations
of
fund
embezzlement
,
instead
attributing
the
financial
woes
to
members’
failure
to
pay
their
dues
since
the
current
leadership
assumed
power.
