Awuah
has
asserted
that
the
MP
for
the
area
,
Dr
Mathew
Opoku
Prempeh
is
his
mentor.
Speaking
to
the
media
after
winning
the
election,
Lawyer
Baffour
Awuah
said
he
was
grateful
to
the
Manhyia
South
MP
and
will
continue
to
serve
him.
“You’ve
been
an
elder
brother,
mentor
and
comrade.
Your
words
of
advice
and
good
counsel
have
served
me
well
in
my
political
career,”
he
stated.

NPP
primary:
Nana
Agyei
Baffuor
Awuah
is
winner
He
polled
376
votes
out
of
the
537
delegates
during
the
primary.
His
close
contender,
Nana
Owusu
Afriyie
Prempeh
had
141
votes.
James
Owusu
Boakye
had
seven
votes
and
Nana
Akwasi
Coker
Gyambibi
had
two
votes.
The
election
was
generally
peaceful.
He
said
NAPO
has
done
a
lot
for
him
on
his
political
career.
“At
the
heart
of
NAPO
is
service
to
people
and
service
to
leadership.
Working
with
him
and
for
him
at
the
constituency,
I
observe
his
vision
in
action,
his
passion
and
determination
to
ensure
that
he
delivers
quality
for
the
Ghanaian
people
as
desired
by
his
leader,
the
president
of
Ghana.
He
promised
to
work
with
all
the
candidates
to
ensure
resounding
victory
for
NPP
in
the
December
polls.
He
also
called
for
united
front
among
all
members
of
NPP
ahead
of
the
elections.
He
was
grateful
to
the
NPP
delegates
in
Manhyia
South
and
promised
to
serve
them
well.
